Critical Rules Before You Begin
Level Ground: Always park on essentially level ground. Never unload on a steep grade. [1]
Support Pads: Place 12" square \(\frac{3}{4}\)" plywood pads under each jack to prevent them from sinking into soft ground, which can cause the camper to tip. [1, 2]
Never Go Lower in the Front: Keep the front of the camper about 4 inches higher than the rear at all times. Never allow the front to be lower than the back. [1, 2]
Watch the Extension Limit: Never extend the jacks beyond the maximum height, indicated by the red stop line on the jack tube. [1]
Phase 1: Unloading the Camper
Remove Tie-Downs: Unfasten and remove all turnbuckles and tie-downs. [1, 2]
Initialize the Remote: Press the "All Up" and "All Down" buttons simultaneously to initialize the Happijac remote until the light turns green. [1]
Lift the Camper: Lower all four jacks concurrently using the remote. Once the feet touch the ground, continue raising the camper until it is high enough to completely clear the truck bed rails. Stop frequently to ensure the camper stays level. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Drive Forward: Slowly pull your truck forward and out from under the camper. [1, 2]
Lower for Stability: Lower the camper as close to the ground as safely possible. Never leave the camper elevated on its jacks for extended periods
